Established in 2005, the SCWCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation, operated in partnership with the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

The mission, “Advancing women’s success through education and community engagement,” is accomplished through two avenues – supporting women in their pursuit of formal education and by conveying the value of becoming a community leader.

The SCWCC Foundation provides educational support through programs such as the Karen Possehl Women’s Endowment, which offers scholarships to assist “unstoppable women” attending UCCS in achieving their educational goals. The Foundation also sponsors programs, workshops, and seminars that communicate the importance of community service and the essential knowledge needed for effective participation.

To support these efforts, the Foundation receives funding through the Accolades Luncheon Silent Auction, ASK campaigns and a variety of other fundraising initiatives to include individual private donations. For additional information, email the Foundation at foundation@scwcc.com and visit our Facebook page.
