In April of 2004, Rich Tosches "punked" readers by announcing that he'd
been named the new publisher of the Colorado Springs
Independent.
Buried In the
contrived cover story, he'd shared: "I arrive at this job ... after 27
years as a reporter and writer. Eight were spent as a sports writer for United
Press International in Los Angeles, followed by nine years as a staff writer at
the Los Angeles Times. Most recently I spent ten years as the metro columnist
for the Colorado Springs Gazelle ...".
Now four years later - in the wake of one of the most complex political seasons
in history - the SCWCC is pleased to have Rich Tosches as its featured speaker.
